Jun 18, 2013 · MultiAir failure database. Last week i had the dreaded multiair fail on my Mito. I have 1.4t version (135hp) with 40K km on the engine on 3 years and 1 month. My warranty has just finished and am on a process of a formal complain to Alfa Romeo, its a pity such a known and serious problem not be properly taken care of. I've taken it to Halfords just to get the voltage and alternator checked on it. the voltage is 12.5v and the alternator gives 14v+. As it's still under warranty, I took it back to Alfa who would look at it, but for £95 an hour. Feb 12, 2013 · My car is 2 years old but I have only owned it for 3 months, it has done 25k miles. Same issue. Mine only works when the fuel tank is below 1/4. Stelvio 05/2017, Start/Stop is not working. They have tested the battery and the alternator, no problem. I have made some tests while driving, Aircondition off, off-switch tested with on and off, no phone charger or anything else attached to the car. Jul 31, 2015 · Its now mid summer and it still does not work 90% of the time. I have had the battery tested by 2 diagnostic experts and been told its fine and that the car is showing no errors. During its last visit to the dealer 2 weeks ago they charged the battery and told me the start stop was working perfectly as it was when I left the garage and drove home. Feb 1, 2021 · 989 posts · Joined 2018. #2 · Feb 2, 2021. start/stop is not necessary (usually it's just irratating ), however, start/stop not working is usually a problem with low (er) battery charge, or battery having been disconnected and IBS (Intelligent Battery System) needing some time (couple of days) to recallibrate after a battery disconnect. May 10, 2020 · I lost drive and had to stop on the hard shoulder. I turned the engine off and on again and whilst I was able to pull away and the drive felt normal again, the DNA knob was not working any more (stuck in N). They are correct about the battery being the cause of the stop start not working, and also that the correct type of battery must be used, usually a AGM Battery (Absorbent Glass Mat) And yes they are expensive, but not $700 !!
